How to print and assemble the birthday kits

By Las Petu Exploradoras · 4 min read · For grown-ups

The kits contain 11 pages and use US Letter paper, 8.5 × 11 inches. Print the whole kit or only the pages you need. Start with one test copy before printing enough for the party.

Have these ready

  • The PDF of your chosen theme in Spanish or English.
  • Paper, a printer, adult scissors and tape.

1. Choose the pages you need

Every kit uses the same page order to make printing easier.

  1. Page 1: cover. Page 2: invitation to fill in by hand.
  2. Pages 3–4: bunting. Page 5: toppers. Page 6: labels.
  3. Page 7: coloring. Page 8: learning activity. Page 9: checklist. Page 10: party plan. Page 11: crowns.

2. Check size and orientation

On US Letter paper, choose actual size or 100% and portrait orientation.

  1. Open the PDF in a viewer and print one test page.
  2. If you only have A4 paper, use Fit to page and check that nothing is clipped; the pieces will change size slightly.
  3. Print these materials single-sided. Check the margins in print preview.

3. Choose your paper

Ordinary paper works for activities; cardstock can help decorations hold their shape if your printer supports it.

  1. Use ordinary paper for coloring, writing and test prints.
  2. Check the thickness your printer supports before loading cardstock.
  3. Print activities in black and white to save ink; check one copy for contrast.

4. Cut and assemble ahead of time

A grown-up prepares the decorative pieces.

  1. Cut bunting around the outside edge and fold the top tabs.
  2. Fit crowns comfortably using the extension strips.
  3. Keep strings, small pieces and topper supports out of young children’s reach. Place decorations without direct contact with food.

5. Personalize your invitation

In the Birthdays section you can enter a name, date, time and place before printing.

  1. Choose a theme and fill in the fields in your browser.
  2. Select Print / Save as PDF and check the preview.
  3. Save your file before reloading: invitation fields are not kept when you close or reload the page.

A useful detail: If your viewer or app cannot print, open the page in your device’s browser or download the PDF on a computer.

All three kits are available in Spanish and English for family use. You do not need to print every page: choose the ones that help your celebration.
