A PARTY TO CREATE TOGETHER

An art and color birthday party for kids

A table with paper, colors and room to imagine is the heart of this party. The Petu sisters invite each child to create in their own way. Make a simple gallery so everyone can show their artwork at the end if they wish.

A SIMPLE START

What to prepare

  • Color kit, blank paper and one coloring sheet per guest.
  • Washable crayons and a table cover.
  • Tape for a gallery at the children’s height.

The colors of this party

Coral, cream and rainbow colors. Keep the table background light so the children’s artwork takes center stage.

Choose a few pieces you love. You do not need to use every decoration in the kit.

Set it up in three steps

  1. Put supplies in open trays and a sheet at each place. Start with a few colors and add more when needed.

  2. Hang bunting above the gallery. Use labels to name the artwork or write a thank-you.

  3. Leave space for artwork to dry if you add paint; follow the age directions on the supplies you use.

A CELEBRATION WITH DISCOVERIES

Two games, two ways to join

Ages 2–4, with a grown-up · 5–8 min

I spy a color

  1. Show a red crayon and say: I spy something red. Point together to an object of the same color.
  2. Repeat with blue and yellow. Children can point, name the color or bring over a safe object.
  3. Return to the table and use a favorite color on a sheet from the kit.
Ages 5–7 · 10–15 min

A city of shapes

  1. Draw a circle, a triangle and a rectangle as examples. Count their straight sides together.
  2. Each child combines the shapes to invent a house, vehicle or character.
  3. Put the sheets together to create a city. Ask which shapes everyone used, without choosing a winning artwork.

Suggested ages and times. Offer a quieter alternative and let each child join at their own pace.

Can I print the coloring sheets in black and white?
